  1. After reading and studying Animal Farm I've learned that power can easily be abused. The pigs were able to convince the other animals to abide by their rules and were able to make them believe that they were doing things for the good of all the animals. In reality, the Pigs were controlling the animals so that the pigs could be in power and be the leaders. The pigs never cared about the animals. They only cared about manipulating the animals for their own benefit. I also learned that you shouldn't trust everything a leader says. Our society should learn that with great power comes great responsibility and that leaders should care about ALL of their people that they are leading.

  2. From studying Animal Farm, I have learned that no one should have too much power. Many people use their power to manipulate others just like the pigs did in Animal Farm. Napoleon, for instance, used his dogs to not let others do anything that he didn't want them to. The pigs used the other animals to gain things for themselves such as food and alcohol. I also learned that some people can get manipulated very easily. The sheep were used by the pigs to help them get their message across. Also, most of the other animals were fooled by the pigs to think that they had just remembered the commandments wrong. But, the pigs had changed the commandments so that they weren't doing anything wrong. Our society should learn that if you know you can't handle a lot of power, you shouldn't be willing to have that much power.

  4. After studying Animal Farm I learned that people can become corrupt when they feel what it's like to have a little bit of power. Snowball and Napoleon both loved power, Napoleon just took it a little too far, such as the 7 Commandments that did help the farm for a little while until Napoleon knew he could do anything for infact he was the leader of Animal farm after all. So after realizing that he decided to take advantage of his power and drink alcohol, sleep in a bed and to blow off the fact that all animals are equal. The pigs are also very decisive and have a way to persuade the the animals into believing crazy rules and ways of life, they do this because they know that with that will come a reward from Napoleon. Our society should learn that power is truly a heavy burden and if you cannot handle it then don't do agree to doing it.

  5. From the book Animal Farm, I've learned that you should stand up for what you believe. The animals in Animal Farm had the opportunities but never took it because they thought they would get killed by Napoleon's killer dogs. I honestly wouldn't know what to do either. I would have left before things got even worse. Our society should learn that it shouldn't abuse its power because it could cause harm to everyone else. It should also learn that other people's opinions matter. If you don't know other's opinions then how will you know what is best for everyone.

  6. After reading Animal Farm, I have learned a lot of important life skills. I have learned that many people are very greedy and want power. In most cases, when someone gets power, they keep wanting more and more. As we saw, the pigs got the power, and wanted more and more. After the pigs discovered that they liked alcohol and sleeping in beds, the whole farm started going downhill. The pigs said that since they were so smart and did so much for everyone, how could they sleep in just a mere sty. But that definitely was not true. The pigs changed the seven commandments to favor them, and wouldn’t listen to anything the other animals would say. So the biggest thing I got out of this story was too much power is not a good thing.

  7. After reading animal Farm I have learned a lot. I learned that people can manipulate you into doing things you wouldn't normally do by talking to you into it. When people are power hungry they will do anything. Through propaganda the pigs convinced the animals they were doing better since Jones but truth is they were in horrible condition. They were starving and overworking but they didn't know. This is a great book because even right now we can look at the lesson from the book and use it right now. Everything the government does is not always right. The government will try to convince you otherwise. Russia was a good example of what will happen if we put our guard down and rely on the government for our needs. The more you let them take of you the more they can rule you life, and we don't want that. Look at Cuba. Animal Farm should by a reminder for Americans what will happen if we let the government take over our needs.

  8. After reading and studying Animal Farm, I have learned many different things. I learned that when someone is given too much responsibility, they often can become corrupt and manipulative. In the book, Napoleon and the other pigs quickly rise to power over the rest of the farm. They start changing the rules, manipulating the other animals, and start becoming exactly like the humans that they fought to overthrow. Also, I have learned that intelligence and knowledge are both very important for everyone. Throughout the whole book, this is demonstrated. The pigs are much more intelligent and knowledgeable than most of the other animals and use this against them. The other less intelligent animals depend completely on their leaders to think for them and make their decisions for them. Some of the animals, mostly the ones that can read, are smart enough to realize what is happening around them, but are too afraid of their awful rulers to do anything about it. I have learned that no one should ever have too much power to themselves, because it will never work. This is demonstrated many times throughout this story. Our society should learn that no one should have too much power all to themselves, to stand up for yourself when you see something happening that shouldn’t, and to try and keep ourselves as educated as possible.

  9. I have learned and studied a lot of stuff in Animal Farm and i wanna tell y'all all about it. So if you hear about Communism or anything like it (Animalism) you really got to think about it before you think about it. You should also look at history and see how it has been! Communism is probably the fairest government ever... but just not for humans. Humans lie and cheat so, like you have seen in Animal Farm, everybody gets paid the same. So lets say your super lazy, why work? You'll still get paid the same as the hardest worker (Boxer). The leaders also can change and rules and make it sound right even though its wrong. So if we never lie and very hard working, yes Communism will work, but until then it will not work. That is what i have learned in Animal Farm.

  10. After reading animal farm, I've learned that you should never leave someone with too much power or they may take advantage of it. When Snowball and Napoleon ruled Animal Farm, the other animals were so easily convinced at everything that was said by the pigs. Even after Snowball was chased off the farm, most of the animals were decieved by Napoleon and his power. Napoleon definitely took advantage of it. At first, he would change rules, and even after that, he would break his own rules. The animals would question it, but Napoleon always had a "reasonable" excuse. The pigs were becoming more like the humans over time. I think our society would learn not to abuse the power it has. We shouldn't depend on our government, and don't always believe what you hear. The society should care about the people they are leading. We should also be on guard about our leaders. They may say/do something that seems alright when actually it's wrong. I basically learned that we should get to know ALL the facts before believing something, because it could be true or it could be false.

  11. After reading Animal Farm, I learned that I should not let people rule over to me to much. I need to think for myself and not always depend on or believe other people. There are people out there like Napoleon and the other pigs. Don't let them deceive you. Don't be too gullible. I also learned that Napoleon is like Stalin, very deceiving and wanting more and more power no matter how much he already has. Also, Napoleon and Squealer kept changing the rules after they disobeyed them so that the animals would think that they did nothing wrong. In life though people may be unfair you need to stand up for what you believe in.

  12. I have learned how you can use an allegory to protect you from getting caught. It will keep you safe from people who want to hurt you for it. No one is truly free we are all ruled somehow some way.We were made to be ruled and to rule.We are made that way and we cannot change it, God has made us to be ruled by Him. We are not perfect ,sometimes we bend the rules to our advantage and no one else's. When we do that we are just like Napoleon and Squealer. There are those people who stick to rules and work for the benefit of everyone. Not just themselves. I wish we would have more rulers like Snowball.

  13. I have learned many things from animal farm. I think the most important one is to not be naïve and make sure I am not getting taken advantage of by leaders. I should think about what is right and do that. Another thing that I learned is to fallow the good leader. An example of this is when the animals chose to fallow Napoleon instead of snowball. The right leader to choose was snowball but they were stupid and chose Napoleon instead.

  14. Since I have read Animal Farm, I am beginning to look more into different kinds of movies, books, and commercials. I never realized that so many different things had a hidden story behind them. For me, it’s kind of fun to see if I can figure out the allegory and know the true meaning of the real story. I also learned from this book that people with too much power can basically run your life. In this case, when Napoleon became “ruler” of the farm and started dictating, no one was brave enough to stand up to him. So, what our society should learn is that we must never let someone have too much power.

  15. A lot of useful lessons are taught in Animal Farm. One lesson I have learned is to not let people take advantage of me or manipulate me. Seeing what happens to some of the animals when they are easily manipulated is scary and should teach everyone a valuable lesson. Some major things our society would learn from this is definitely the cunning nature of some people and not to be easily manipulated. Another lesson for society would be to stand up for what you believe in. Being a leader is a big responsibility. Power should not be abused and people should not be so gullible. Society would also learn to think for themselves and think about what is going on instead of just relying on a leader all the time. One more important lesson that I think is valuable is realizing what you would have to do if you took control and had to do things on your own. I don't think the animals really realized how much work it would be to take over the farm by themselves, so the pigs got help from humans. Basically, our society would learn to not let someone gain too much power and to not be easily manipulated by deceiving and cunning people.

  16. I think I have learned a great deal about government and politics from Animal Farm. It showed me a scenario in which a new form of government had to be devised on the spot and how people might react to it. It focused mainly on the faults of communism, something that has been explored many times before on different levels. I believe that this allegory is the perfect way of showcasing the failed idea and how it impacted Russia. I think that society can use this knowledge to refine the current system of communism or maybe base a new system off of it. I personally have learned more about about leaders and the things they can use to control us. Propaganda is used to manipulate us, fear is used to quiet us, and hope is used to rally us. Napoleon used all three of these things in his effort to gain control of Animal Farm. This poses the question, If society was better educated on these matters, do you think the world would be different? One can only hope.

  17. I have learned from reading animal farm that people or animals don't like it when someone has too much power. I think our socicity should learn that when you give someone (even the president) too much power they could use it irresponsibly and not look out for the best intrests of others. Therefore i think our sociitity should think about how much power they give to certain people.
